My husband booked 2 nights in this hotel to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary, but the whole thing was ruined by careless stuff, dirty rooms and corridors. (Even the toilet paper looked like someone touched it with wet hands!) When we talked to the receptionist about this, he only offered us even a worse room than we had and a bottle of champagne . To cut a long story short, we didn’t even spend one night there and after a couple of hours we decided to leave the place in order to try and save the rest of the anniversary. The receptionist promised that they would approve the refund for us and since then no answer for a week. They never answer the phone and they don’t check Booking as well. To sum up, this is definitely the worst experience that you can only imagine and the price is not reasonable at all for this quality.

I’d like to sum up my recent stay at the hotel. This was our second time staying there, as my wife and I were very impressed with our first visit exactly a year ago. Last year, the service was absolutely outstanding. We were welcomed instantly upon arrival, the hotel was spotless and well-organized, and we were personally escorted to our room by a staff member who explained everything and even helped with our luggage. The room was perfectly clean, and we were greeted with some treats upon entering (which is always a nice touch, especially when you’re paying an outrageous 2500 shekels per night). The pool was clean and spacious, food and drinks were served quickly and accurately, and there were several attentive waiters constantly making sure everything ran smoothly—changing towels instantly, and genuinely giving off the feeling of “you’re the king, and we’re here to give you the best experience possible.” Breakfast was also incredibly rich, with a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and delicious dishes. This time, I have to say, all of that was simply gone. The service was just “okay,” breakfast was fine but nothing special—just like any regular hotel, lacking the richness it used to have. In our room, I even found hair in the shower (this is supposed to be a five-star hotel, right?). There were no welcome treats at all—not even a lollipop. The food at the pool had noticeably changed; while the menu was the same, trust me, the burger was not the same burger—the patty size and presentation had changed a lot (still tasty, though). The special shakes by the pool cost around 62 shekels, and they don’t even mention that some of them don’t contain alcohol (at least one of them). Why charge 62 shekels for just fruit? At least throw in a shot of arak! We also had dinner at the restaurant (which was very good, to be fair—good plus plus plus). But there’s one experience I simply can’t ignore: while sitting by the pool, there was a mother with what I assume was her 4-year-old son, who she decided didn’t need a swimsuit. The kid sat there with his private parts out for about two hours. I don’t know how many of you enjoy sipping on a shake while a naked child wanders around in front of you, but personally, I’m not a fan. Bottom line—the hotel has become “just another hotel.” Definitely not five stars anymore, maybe four at best. The service has changed the most, and the small details that made the experience special are just not there anymore. Apparently, they’ve changed ownership… shame we didn’t know that before. 🫠 Overall, it’s simply not worth 2500 shekels per night. (Staff is clueless btw..)

This place looks like a 5-star but definitely functions like a 3-star motel. ALL staff is careless and i’ve never heard about hospitality. Reception quite literally never picked up the phone. We were woken up yesterday after midnight with a false fire alarm which they claimed the sensor made a mistake. Now there’s some event or wedding in the courtyard, I’m with closed windows in my room and can hear the very loud music, called them- no answer of course, went down- they just could care less and said they can do nothing. How about don’t charge your guests these prices and then put them through this ?! if you want to make events here, at least make sure there is silence in the room when closing the windows. Shame that after so many bad reviews mentioning similar things they’re still not doing any better

We have visited spa and breakfast on 13.07.25. The spa was great, special thanks to Tatiana for the massage. But the hostess gave us such a hard time 🫣 We have booked spa and breakfast per phone, when we arrived for the breakfast hostess couldn’t find our booking and instead of fixing her colleges mistake she gave us a speech how we should have booked the breakfast, useless to say restaurant was 70% empty so lots of seats, but the speech was already prepared haha. While we were exiting the pool she has asked us if we ordered something at the bar and if we paid… like, come on, when you pay for the spa and the breakfast it means we can pay for the drinks at the bar as well, you don’t harass your guests like this, implying us leaving without paying. All other personnel was really kind and welcoming 🙏🏼, so hostess behavior was really outstanding

Beautiful location, but shockingly bad service. We were really looking forward to dining at the Jaffa Hotel Restaurant — the venue is absolutely stunning, with so much potential. The food was actually good; I’d especially recommend the spicy fries. But unfortunately, the service was one of the worst I’ve experienced in a long time. Our server, Pavel, was extremely rude from the very beginning. While his English wasn’t great (which we can completely understand), the bigger issue was his complete lack of knowledge about the menu. He couldn’t even tell us whether our main dishes came with any sides. When the sides finally arrived separately, we politely explained that we wanted everything to come together. Instead of acknowledging the request, he responded with visible attitude and annoyance — making the entire interaction uncomfortable. It felt unnecessarily personal, and I couldn’t help but feel that he didn’t like the language I was speaking with my friend. To make matters worse, he never offered us a wine list — we had to ask for it ourselves — and the surrounding area had dirty napkins that no one seemed interested in cleaning up. But the final straw was when he brought out my friend’s food and side dish… and completely forgot mine. I had to wait an additional 12 minutes for my meal, only to find out later that he hadn’t even put my dish through the till. That’s basic service — and it was completely neglected. All in all, the restaurant’s atmosphere and food are promising, but the service was genuinely awful. It’s a shame such a beautiful place is let down by careless and unprofessional staff. I won’t be returning.
