Good service, good food. Useful for a smaller event

Last night we celebrated our son's bar mitzvah in style. Luar is really special, the ambience, lushness of the place, decor, music and food was amazing. And above all, the service, helpfulness and friendliness of the staff was great. Some waiters even spoke English so were able to commincate with the elder anglos there. We all enjoyed ourselves. ממליץ בחוםed.

We recently made a Bat Mitzvah at Luar for 140 guests. We were very happy with the service we received and the place itself. It has a lovely outside area which we used for the reception and also dessert, and the inside is tastefully decorated in a rustic style. We received many compliments on the food and the amazing ambience. Warmly recommended!

Attended a small wedding of 100 people last night at Luar. The place is cozy without feeling crowded and provided an experience which is several levels above your "average" party hall: 1. Good food - the finger food at the beginning was varied (meat, fish, veg) freshly cooked, served attractively and was delicious. The main meal started with freshly prepared salads and hot bread (!), continued with a choice of unusually delicious salmon filet or lamb kedaif, and peaked at the most delicious, freshly grilled hot pullet (pargit) or steak. It felt like the food was cooked to order. There was a gorgeous fruit kayak wheeled out at the end. The only let down was the desserts (but who was hungry by then?) - they tasted like chemicals which shouldn't be the case with the really tasty parve creations available today but it was a minor detraction. I forgot to add that the choice of soft drinks on the table was abundant - including apple juice, sparkling and still bottled water, and other drinks. 2. Excellent service - From the security guard at the entrance, to the servers before the wedding ceremony, to the waiting staff at the dinner tables and even the people running around with brooms constantly cleaning up the floor during the party, everyone had a smile on their faces and couldn't do enough to make guests feel like they cared about them and actually enjoyed their jobs. What a difference that makes. In summary, an above-average place for any event that requires a small venue.

Cozy venue for a bar/bat mitzvah that comfortably houses about 250 guests. As it's well below street level it feels more secluded and the greenery around the outside area helps with that as well.
